A report from Bloomberg on April 9, 2021, said that one of Sony’s supporting studios had been at work on a PlayStation 5 remake of 2014’s The Last of Us, only to see the project handed over to original developer Naughty Dog and Sony’s Visual Arts Service Group directed to assist with other Naughty Dog projects. Several staff and some of the Service Group’s top leadership quit as a result.
